I landed on 25th February via Sweetgrass, Montana as that was the closest US border to me, as I also have been staying in Canada and applied outland. It was very simple and easy and took all of about 15 mins. I was a bit nervous but it was a bit anti climatic really. After telling American immigration officer I wanted to flagpole and land for permanent residency, they gave me a piece of paper and sent me back to Canada immigration and then went inside where I went to immigration section of the Canadian border.
There was no one else waiting, I gave the IO my passport and Corp which is the other doc I got sent from London then they told me to wait for about 5 mins when she did some stuff on the computer and then asked me to confirm my name was all spelt right and asked me for an address for my card to be sent to and checked I was the principal applicant and didn't have any dependants or any other husbands (I said no, one was enough - LOL).
Then I had to sign it twice, she stapled one of the sheets to my passport and sent me over to another person where I filled out my goods to follow list (I didn't take one with me) and as I only had a few boxes still left in UK, with paperwork and photos and childhool trinkets, that was done in 2 mins and that was it.
All up took about 15 mins and that was it. Said I should apply for my SIN and will have PR card within about 4 weeks although it says 90 days.
Am still waiting for my PR card, but have swapped over my licence, applied for my healthcard and obtained my SIN. So am now all sorted.
