Hi all,

My Ecas status changed to completed and current mailing address still doesnot change. I landed vancouver on 28th Sept and should I wait for another few more days as processing time line is 42 days. any advice? Thanks.

Well, by now you ahould have passed the 45 day mark so you can go ahead and call. Basically, anytime you are waiting for something from the CIC, you have to wait until the regular processing time passes before they are willing to look into your status.

My husband was almost denied boarding on an Incheon (Seoul) to Toronto direct flight (homeward leg of a return trip). He's an American passport holder. They didn't want to let him board with just his passport since it was a one way trip not ending in the US. He then showed them his PR card. They thought it had expired (they misread the date) and told him he still couldn't board the flight. Once they were able to confirm the card was still valid they let him board.

Having said that, my husband flew in and out of Canada several times between the time he became a PR and the time he got his phyiscal PR card - and was fine on all of those flights (they were to the US as well as international destinations). My husband travels extensively and the Incheon episode is the one and only time he's ever had to show his PR card when attempting to fly home from outside of Canada.

Short answer: I think refusals do happen from time to time. But it's extremely rare.

This is exactly what I want to hear, I have a vacation booked in December and I have my landing Interview soon. I know I wont have my PR card by then but I will have my British Passport and my COPR so I don't think I will have any issues.
An interview? I received COPR last week, planning to land Feb/March. I am researching now all the docs and requirements I need to meet. So sorry if my questions are rather...hmm...basic.
Any good source of info for people getting ready for landing?
Thanks!
