From what I understand - No.
The applicant has to visit their office him/herself.

Then what do you suggest my friend do?
1. Contact them and say she will not be able to attend the appointment?
2. Do nothing and wait to see what happens?
3. Spend a fortune to travel back to Canada on a Permanent Resident Travel Document and attend the appointment!
4. Ask them to reschedule the appointment to when she can make it?
5. Ask them to let her mail the photos?
6. I cannot think of anything else!

Thanks..

Buddy, u have enumerated all the options well. Yes, this is something that fellow has to decide, given his circumstances & disposition. If the deadline is not met - the case would go into hibernation... next time when he is IN, he'd have to apply for the PR cards afresh; & with the $50 fee.

Hi,
We have the photo problem and they send us letter to resubmit them for all family members.We have done it last week and they will send the pr card in 4-6 weeks time.We landed in june and we received the letter of resubmission dated 15 november. They have not informed us about the photo problem at the time of landing and we have used the the same photo when submitted the pp for ppr.

Did you submit new photos in person or by mail? Did they ask for original passports and did all the family go or just the principal applicant?

Thanks

Hi ,
We submitted all photos in person and they asked for it.They also asked to bring original passports and landing papers.It took around 1 hour in St,Clair's office Toronto.
Hope this helps

Pammi,

Was it just the you (I assume, you are the principle applicant) that went to the office in person or did you have to take your family along too? I completed my landing a couple of weeks ago but have returned to the US. While, I have time to get the PR card, I am worried about issues with the photograph.

Also, which CIC office do you need to contact in case you need to follow up? Is there a 1-800 number?

Hi nag1d,
We all family member went their as they said all the member should be present in front of the officer.
Hope this helps

Dear friends

Can anyone who would have landed recently help? where to take it in Delhi ?

Or we can take just take photo and write in Black Ink.

As per the CIC link,photos specs for PR card application which needs to be submitted during landing is:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/5445EB.asp

Note:# New: measure between 25 mm and 30 mm (1” and 1 1/5”) from chin to crown (top of hair);
# have a 35 mm x 45 mm (1 3/8″ x 1 3/4″) finished size)
# be on photographic paper that has a backing which accepts and retains the date. Photos without this backing are not acceptable;
# be on prints that are well-fixed and washed to prevent discolouration;
# bear the date the photo was taken (not the date the photo was printed) directly on the back of one print (stick-on labels are not acceptable).

I thought we need to carry the same photos which we submitted during PPR,whose specs were:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/photospecs.asp

Note:The frame size must be at least 35 mm x 45 mm (1 3/8″ x 1 3/4″).The size of the head, from chin to crown, must be between 31 mm (1 1/4″) and 36 mm (1 7/16″).

Currently they r not taking any photos for PR card. They don't ask to fill the PR card application form also.
