You need your original landing paper for your riterement. They only take your PR card.

if they take CORP cant we get again?. What happens in case CORP is lost or burnt in fire or got accidently damaged. Do we need police report to get a duplicate copy from cic.

can we put the CORP in bank locker and forget and take it out only at retirement as a piece of canadian landing proof. Or in life journey is CORP asked again after acquiring citizenship or its the last step in life where we show original CORP and then later at retirement only.

They don't take your copr, they want to see the original for verification, like your original passport. When copr is lost, you have to inform CIC and ask for a new one.
