I am in the process of registering for an OCI card, and I need clarification regarding the required documents. While completing the registration on the OCI website, I noticed that the document upload section includes options such as passport, employment letter, spouse’s passport, and Indian origin proof etc. However, the drop doqn menu for uploading documents does not mention the mandatory declaration for surrendering the ration card and voter ID, which BLS has advised me to upload.
Could you please confirm whether this declaration is necessary? If so, how it should be iuploaded on the OCI website, or is it only required for submission at BLS?
Also the webaite mention that Marriage certificate is applicable ONLY for those who are applying based on spouse OCI Card.
But BLS says its mandatory to upload Marriage Certificate. Please confirm what is right.
Additionally, I am self-employed, and BLS has informed me that a corporate address is mandatory. Alternatively, if I am a business owner, I must submit the Articles of Association. Since I am self-employed, I am unsure of the correct documents to provide. Could you clarify the specific documents required for:
- Uploading on the OCI website
- Submission at BLS
