Guys, especially people there in Canada plz help.
I am landing on 26th Dec at Calgary. MS at Univ of Calgary. I have a doubt regarding accommodation and other stuff. Since there'll be Christmas holidays around that time, will i get any pre booked accommodation there. I dont wanna land and move to a hotel for a few days before settling in. How does the rental system work in Canada. Can people move in at any time of the month?

I am able to get best flight deals only for the last week of Dec. Prices shoot up by 20k in the first week of Jan. Therefore I wanna be there by Dec last week.

Will I find accommodation?

i am gonna book tomorrow. For Dec 22- 27 ..the lowest i can find is for ~42k (KLM). But all of Jan 2014, prices are in the high 50s and 60s (60K)

Just helping you with proper flight selection.. If you going for the below mentioned flight just book with goibibo.. it will cost you around 39K for Dec 23, 2013..

Thanks man :) yeah i saw goibibo yesterday for 39k. My only concern is accommodation. Since there'll be Christmas holidays going on then therefore the Univ wont be open. And also ...will find any accommodation which would allow me to shift during holidays?


Also ...is GoIbibo decent ? I've been booking from Cleartrip and makemytrip. Will i find better deals if i approach a travel agent?

u can get cheaper tickets on or day after christmas.....air tickets r very expensive during holiday season.....
where r u staying initially after u land ..hotel? relatives? friends?
