Hi,

Finally, i am planning to land in next week (currently in India). Hence booked tickets and planning to complete landing at port of entry. I have collected all the documents as per info gathered from this forum. Documents are

1. Passports (Visa till 20th May)
2. COPR
3. Birth Certificates
4. Marriage Certificate
5. Educational Certificates
6. Items Declerations (Items bringing to Canada, 2 lists one items accompanying and another one items to follow for Duty exemption)

Anything else do i need? I will be staying at friend's place, so i will give the same address for PR Card. Later my friend will arrange to send it to me.

Any inputs or points to take care from those who have completed landing?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

As I find my situation is somewhat similar to yours, I am requesting your help.

I got my PR visa under CEC (Canadian Experience Class). Due to personal reasons, I will not be able start living in Canada right now and before the expiry of my PR visa (Exp date: Nov 20, 2014), I am planning to visit Canada for about a week in the next month, stay at my friends place and then come back to India. At the time of entry, I want to give my friends address to the VO to get the PR card.

I do not have any job offer from Canada and also I am not in a position to provide any proof of funds to the visa officer at the port of entry. Will I get into trouble if the VO asks me how will I support myself in Canada ? Is there is a possibility of stopping me from entering into Canada due to this issue ?

Thanks for your time.

Although it is not required or mandated for CEC applicants, carry your bank statements for the past few months. It is a very good idea even if you have minimum funds to last just few months. They will ask you if you wanted to settle down in Canada now or a later date. If you say at a later date, your PR card processing won't start until you come back permanently.

Hi,

I did not fully understand the statement "your PR card processing won't start until come back permanently" and its consequences.
If I say that I want to settle at a later date, as per your answer, I won't be getting my PR card. But can I comeback to Canada at a later date after the PR visa gets expired, saying that I have entered once before with a valid PR visa and I did not have a PR card as I was not ready to settle permanently at the time of my first entry ?

Please clarify. Many thanks for your time.
