Hello everybody:

I know its lot early to ask now. I only applied in 2014. However, just for the help of future planning, If We get it, Can I fly with my family to Canada and stay there nearly for one month? Then I opt to come back to my country and start for staying in Canada after one year at least. Can I do that? How much time does it take to receive PR card at hand? If not, can I nominate any of my friends or family to collect the PR cards on my behalf and then send those to me?

Can any senior experienced provide me a good reply on my queries above ... If we can stay for one month, can anybody say whether renting a house for one month is possible or not?

You should budget around 2 months time to get your PR card. At your landing, you must give a Canadian address the card will be sent to.

You can then leave Canada, as long as you maintain the 2-in-5-years rule for your PR obligation.

If you leave Canada before getting PR card, then if you can get a family or friend to receive it for you they can courier it to you in your home country.

Everything is possible with money, it will be more expensive. Check out long stay deals on hotels, they may be cheaper than renting an apartment for a month, depending on time of the year. Check hotwire.com. I personally go for 3 and 1/2 stars on hotwire, I was never disappointed.

Yes you can have someone collect and send you the PR cards while you are gone.

you can also check for short rental at Kijiji.com and if you lucky you can get a cheap deal fully furnished house or rental for 1-2 months, these types are more available when people are going out on Summer break.
