Yes, they can land alone later. But you need to land first before they land.

Dear All:

Thanks God we finally got our VISA and planning to land on mid June in Calgary. Thanks God it took only 7 months to complete the whole process of our application! we send our file on 1st may 2014 & got visa in hand on 5th jan'15. Feeling quite lucky. :D

However, i need some advice regarding landing issue.
Our targeted destination is Calgary/Alberta. But is it possible to use a route like first land on Toronto airport and then take a connecting air from Toronto to Calgary? if so what about our landing port of entry. should we need to submit entry docs in Toronto? Appreciate if anyone advice the whole process. please also advice the aprox air cost from Toronto to Calgary.
We are from Bangladesh. i know some of you might thinking what is the reason behind. Ok, here it is, The IOM offer tickets only for the route Bangladesh-Toronto to go Canada(approx 40% lesser price than original), so i want to check all pros n cons for using any one from below two routes including cost effectiveness.

1/ Bangladesh-Toronto, Toronto-Calgary
2/ Bangladesh-Calgary.

PS: we are 3 persons (me, my wife & 4Y son, its our first air journey with our son, so we are also little bit worried about his reaction during journey)

Please advice.

Thanks

You will go through the landing/immigration process at the first place you arrive in Canada. It is no problem to do this in Toronto, then continue to travel to Calgary. This is exactly what we did when my wife came to Canada.

My suggestion for travel would be to get the best priced tickets you can from Bangladesh to Calgary. It is quite likely that you will end up with a Bangladesh-Toronto-Calgary routing. Make sure sure you have a long layover in Toronto to take care of the landing process. A four hour layover will give you enough time to do this.

I don't think Bangladesh-Calgary exist. Bangladesh-Japan-Calgary is one option.

Well a google search found me that if you want to land directly in Canada at Calgary, you can take an Etihad/KLM combo via Abu Dhabi-Amsterdam and then continuing directly to Calgary.
