I'm an inland applicant (Ontario) and I just received my CoPR. My question is, is it necessary to go to border to do the landing? Is there an alternate way?

You may be able to book a "landing" interview at a local CIC office. However, the waiting list may be quite long. Phone the CIC call centre...braindead said:

No, you can call Canada service in Ontario and make an appointment, it will take time to get it, (here in Alberta up to 2 months)but if you can't or don't want to travel and you can wait that time you can land in your local cs officebraindead said:

Call CIC's call centre and set up an appointment at a CIC office near your location...
