Landing Interview Letter

So I got a DM E-mail....where it says Local office will contact you etc...which they did...they called me to ask if I want to come to Vancouver or wait until They come to Victoria BC...I opted for Victoria...and they said it will be in January. Just wondering...when will I get a letter with all the details? Date? Place? Time etc? How long After getting DM do you get landing interview info?? Tx!

I was outland app, so not sure it would answer you (sounds like you are inland applicant)

I got DM and called cic to book landing interview at local CIC office : it was scheduled a month after I got DM.

The call agent mailed me what I should bring and ask me to come with my spouse.

The interview was held by cic officer (not cbsa).

she was nice, requested my passport and my husband's ID (passport or driver licence )
and asked me two questions on COPR letter.
I answered the questions and signed my initial then she stamped on my passport.

that was it. it took less than 15 mins.

Were you able to book the landing interview before receiving your COPR in the mail? I called CIC after we got DM, asking about the interview waiting times for our local CIC office, and the agent sounded like I wouldn't be able to actually book the interview before I have my COPR. DM on December 17th, still waiting for COPR...

As matter of fact I did book before I received COPR.

The agent asked me UCI no. and that was it.

I received a mail that my date of interview on it few days later. (My interview was a month after I called CIC)

FYI I knew VO mail COPR through DHL.
I called DHL and asked them if there is any package to deliver to my address.
(and there was)

so I could be able to get a tracking no.

Only Outland applicants receive their CoPR by mail. Inlanders have to attend the landing appointment/interview before they get theirs.

With all that you've been through, I'm surprised you're not camping out on the steps of the CIC office in Vancouver! LOL!

Even as slow as the Vancouver office seems to be, it has to be faster than waiting for someone to take a ferry to Victoria.

Haha Ponga..No kidding! And I Crazy!?!? Why on earth wouldn't I want to go do I terview ASAP!? .... As crazy as it sounds ...I did t expect for them go call me this "soon"... I literally JUST sent ALL additional documents...aremember you told me to mail original FBI and Bosnian police clearance...so I did...and then I thought there is at least a few more months until DM...so they kind of surprised me with their Fastness lol....
It's OK tho...I waited THIS long..what's few weeks? It will be here before I know it
