There is no absolute answer on rent and it varies according to area and type of property you choose. The rent will typically vary between CAD600 to CAD 1600 depending on location, if it is a condo, apartment, portion of a house or basement and where it is located.

Initially you may have to live in a furnished accommodation for 2-4 weeks while you hunt your rented place.

Although nobody checks funds physically, they just rely on your statement, but one should be well prepared. Hope it will help you.

Landedd safely on 8th evening.
The immigration process was simple 5 mts max taken by the officer.
But queue was long so waited for 30 mts.
No photo required for PR card application

Bringing required funds to Canada is a requirement to complete the last step of immigration which is landing. On landing it is asked how much funds you are carrying and the officer relies on your statement. I have not heard that they ask for the proof, but in case they do the onus is on you to show the proof.

This is my personal opinion that it really helps to bring the money along, the initial days are tough and not having money will make it even tougher

Visa office will generally call your office number that you have submitted in your application. There will be questions reagrding your tenure, job duties, salary etc

Fare was 43425/- per adult.As this is vaccation time the charges are of higher side.

As they dont check the POF but I would strongly suggest u to Carry full amount as mentioned by govt.Otherwise one person will make all others suffer

VO may or may not call, it depends on case to case. I assume that in cases where documentation is satisfactory to support the applicants claim they may not do verification calls in other they may. I am able to bring 13000 CAD cash but not more than this
My quetion is
for 4 person 20400 usd required as pof.
But I can only bring 13000 CAD so will it creat problem?.
I know 13000 cad is enough for 1 year servive without any servival job. as I will not do so.
My plan is to start servival job on the next day after landing ) if possible ;D.
I m anxious cause this time it will very difficult to bring 20000cad in cash due to hort of money .
Seniors who have already landed tell me if I bring 13000 cad cash with me will it make any problem?

Hi Tosher

Yes you will have problem, because if IO asks to see your POF it has to be for the 4 of you which is $20,654. Sometimes they ask and sometimes they don't. They can refuse you entry for PR if they are not satisfied that you have enough to provide for your family.
Better to be safe then sorry.
