Hi,

It is really easy, they only asked some basic questions about your status (single/married/ crime/ and dependant).

Then, you have to sign your PR paper and give them an address (no need for proof of residency) but it is good if you have something just in case.

Also, give them an address in ontario since I do not know what happens if you use quebec address

Regards

Hi cool.. congratulations!!
But I believe in your EE profile you have your latest address as Quebec and also mentioned a "Letter of Intent" to move out from Quebec. Is that right? If so can you please share the Letter of Intent.

Yes,

I sent my letter of intent from the beginning of my application. I have my sister, aunt and uncle in Toronto. So, in my letter, family reason is the key. Nothing special. Anyway, I am looking for another job in Toronto and hope to move soon. Don't want to stay in quebec anymore

Nice ndai! Below is my case.. these would be basic queries for u I believe.. your advice will really help us decide our course of action..

I am the Primary applicant in my EE profile and my husband is Dependent. We got ITA in the last draw and currently residing in India. Recently my husband got an offer to work from Montreal, most probably will be receiving Closed Work Permit in the coming months. We are in a dilemma whether to consider this offer or not..

1) If we both shift to Montreal and update address to Quebec, will it impact our PR process and approval ?
2) As accompanying spouse in his Work permit, can I achieve Open permit to work in other provinces?
3) If I could manage an IT job in other province (preferably Ontario), will that give us an edge to prove our intent to move out of Quebec ?
4) If I couldn't manage to get a job then what should be our course of action ?
5) Considering the risks of rejection, should we reject our Montreal offer and first go ahead with the PR process?

Kindly advice!

1. You should have a letter of intent to show that you have a plan to live out of Quebec ( family in Ontario is my case).

2. I have no idea about this but if you have open work permit you can work anywhere in canada.

3. I believe yes but should write a letter to prove your plan/intention

4. no idea.

5. Can you wait a few months , after receiving PR you can work and live anywhere in canada. If you move to Montreal now, it is not a good choice for your application.

The problem is, my Work permit might be initiated next month and I will be submitting my ITA documents also in Sep. Considering the current PR timelines (at least 6 months), I assume I'd receive Work permit much earlier and my employer might ask me to travel at the earliest. This is causing the confusion, whether to go for the WP or not

I recommend that you should wait for your PR first.

If you want to come to quebec, you can apply for CSQ, but it is very risky with Quebec, I waited for two years, they canceled my application and invited me to apply again. It was a waste of time.

Yes I heard about that, 18,000 applications canceled. We're not aiming for CSQ as it is more lengthier and complex than EE. We are only trying to strike chord between our ITA and Montreal offer. Seems like a tough one.. :S

Hi Cecict ,

Could you please share your experience? I am in the same situation. I am working in Quebec and will have landing interview in Ontario.

Will they as any proof of Ontario residency? I can use Ontario address but it is difficult to give strong proof of residency.

Regards
Dai
If you have direct landing interview, no need to worry....I believe you can give same address as that of application...You can show the signed letter of intent you submitted while PR application.
I am yet to do landing.........
