Landing in Montreal, Vancouver student

Hi everyone, I got my study permit approved. My university is in Vancouver. I am planning to first land in Montreal then fly to Edmonton. Staying in Edmonton for 1 week and flying to Abbotsford as my final destination to Vancouver. I am wondering during immugration in Montreal, do I get my study permit there? I am very confused. Lots of people telling to land straight in province where I am studying to get a study pemit. Please reply. I am very anxious

Montreal is your port of entry so you get your study permit when you go through immigration.

Thank you for your reply. I need more clarification please; Is there a problem in getting study permit if I plan to go to Edmonton & stay there for 1 week then flying to Abbotsford. I have my sister in Edmonton, just want to visit her. I got approval after 5 rejections. Do you recommend booking a ticket from Montreal to Abbotsford/Vancouver

Montreal is a POE so not an issue. CBSA may ask for proof that you are going on to Vancouver.
