Hey all, my journey is almost over! 8)
Today I received my COPR in the mail after a month waiting for it to come back to me!
I have a couple of questions for those of you who have already landed as Permanent Residents.
1. I called to set up an appointment with the number provided and the lady on the phone said that it would take 3 to 6 weeks in order for me to receive a letter in the mail stating when my appointment to land was. How long after you get that piece of mail do you have to wait until your actual appointment?
2. If I go walk across the border(as my wife has magically misplaced her passport) what is the process for landing? Does it take more than a day? Or is it just the signing of some documents and I'm on my way?
I don't really want to wait another 3 to 6 weeks to land, but I don't want to stay at a hotel around the border and wait for my paperwork to be processed.
Can anyone enlighten me on their experience with either? The more recent the better!
Thanks again guys!
