Hi,

I will land in Canada on Toronto airport on March 14, 2015. Can any body please explain the landing process?

Also, we are a family of 4 we need to show a big sum of money which I do not want to take with me in cash. Can any body please advise the safe way to show funds at the time of landing?

Hi,

Please watch CBSA Canada videos in you tube. You will exactly come to know what items to bring and funds as well. There are videos of new immigrants who landed in Canada airport.

You should not bring more than 10,000 CAD. You can state remaining funds are in ur bank account. You need to carry bank statements as well. When i watched a video in you tube, the CBSA officer asked one immigrant to show his funds online. So you should be able to login and show the funds, if in case they ask.

But as ur PR holder, they will not cross verify.

Please try to watch videos in you tube. It will be helpful.

Please try to search more info about funds in online.........

I have to disagree with this one. There is no limit on the amount that you can bring (you could bring even millions of dollars), however any amount over 10k CAD has to be declared (even if it was in a non-cash format...i.e. draft cheque..etc)

You could also browse for Canada PR landing or anything related to it on google and you'll find numerous blogs where people have narrated their experiences.

Good Luck.
