Actually they can, every Port of Entry has digital cameras for taking of PR photos. But sad to say, when secondary inspection (Immigration), became part of CBSA, they just don't seem to want to take the photos.

I understand from this post by Qorax that we need to take pictures of our priced jewelry..... i would like to know whether it is required to take pictures of jewelry which does not have a resale value, like swaroskvi, or other artificial?

*Is it really OK to bring Bank Certificates from my local bank here in the Philippines as POF... Im planning to bring 50% Cash & 50%BankCert. for Safety purposes..

*How is it when it comes to bringing my downloaded movies & music from my laptop & PSP, which I was told is still form of piracy??? Are they really strict & have gadget to detect it???

Anything which is valuable must be listed. Swaroski, Bvlgari etc. sure is... list them if u desire to condone the duties. It's not about 'resale'... it's about paying a tax on it's 'purchase/current' price.

1. It's not Ok to show a bank statement as POF. U might run into trouble@the POE.

2. Usually they may not scrutinize your CDs/DVDs/BDs/SD cards/Laptops/Flashdrives/Ext.HDs... but, if they do - u r heading for a spin with those contents.

Yes, there r... 'pre-paid' SIM cards, w/out a contract.
Eg.:
> Chatr - from Rogers... $35/month [good one]
> City Fido... $35/month [good one]
> WINDmobile... AWS (their handset reqd.)... $25/month (unlimited i/c & o/g) [my favorite]

We have placed in our Application that we planned to land in Surrey, BC however we have decided to stay in Winnipeg instead. Will there be a problem if our chosen point of entry is different from what we placed in the application?

For skilled worker, it doesn't matter if you pick BC or MB as long as it is not Quebec.

Can i click it on my digital camera and take out the paper print? Or should i get the proper pictures like 4*6??

A prospective immigrant who just been notified that he is going to be approved for permanent residency has emailed me this question. I think the forum can offer better advice then I.

I have just won appeal hearing and granted my Permanent Residency. During hearing, I say I would (be) bringing $8000 dollars when arriving. My question is do I have to bring funds all at once? Do they ask to see funds I said I (was) bringing in hearing. I have the money, but not sure (I) want to travel with all money at once. I like any help.
