Good to hear your landing experience.

However, I would like to know if I do not have any address in Canada yet. How should I fill the form for SIN and PR card?!

Thanks

Not sure. I was asked for an Canadian address.

Hello,

Some updates from me on landing experience - Did a quick landing in Toronto in the morning and took the flight out of Canada in the evening. The process did not take much time apart from the wait at the long immigration queue which were there largely due to the many refugees cases being scrutinised. Gave BC address of my relatives for the PR Card which shall be sent in 6-8 "government" weeks and also applied for SIN(Social Insurance Number) which was generated on the spot and provided to me. Nobody asked me for any proof of funds. Tey simply asked me how much money was i carrying and I mentioned around 500CAD in cash and thats it. They just followed it up with "Welcome to Canada".
Did a short tour of Toronto post that and came back to airport for return since I plan to make the final move in 6-12 months. Most of the immigration staff were very friendly and welcoming. I was a bit worried about queries arising regarding the short trip since I was returning in the evening but this question never arose.
All in all, a very good first impression of Canada.

Dear All,

Is some one got rejection after receiving COPR and Passport Visa Stamped till landing as i heard one of indian applicant got rejected after 6 month of receiving COPR and Passport Visa Stamp where he was supposed to land in February 2016. Is this really possible or news if fack? I don't believe that after getting COPR and Passport Stamping anyone got rejected by Immigration officer if he land in time till expiry...........

Is this real or fack..........

Regards,

I went alone as a single applicant and just took along COPR-2 copies, bank statement and photos. But they never asked for anything apart from both copies of COPR, and the amount of funds I have brought and simply took the Canada address for PR.
But I could see that they were asking for marriage and birth certificates for other applicants.

I think this only can happen if they find out that he was cheating or giving misleading information

Hey , congrats on landing there...thanks for sharing your experience with us...just wanted to ask few questions, if u can advise...I will also be going in April to complete the immigration formalities...and will be returning back as will be going after 9-12 months ...will they deliver the PR card at the relative's place ? How much amount we need to carry and need to show at the airport as proof of funds ?

Hello folks
I did my landing process one week ago and it was smooth and easy but my question is about PR application form, was I supposed to fill this form and give it to the immigration officer or they will just send the PR card to the address I gave at the POE? And how long does it take to receive the PR card?

Dear forum members, I have been a PR since April 2013. I stayed for 2 months and returned to Nigeria. I am in a training program which will end October, 2016. My PR card will expire June 2018. I plan to return to Canada in October 2016. By this time I will be 4month short of 730 PR obligation. I have to stay to finish the training program. My family will return at the right time. Thank you.

Thank you so much. I am really grateful. This is my plan. I plan to contact the embassy to tell them this problem. I plan to formally report this problem to the embassy. I plan to tell the embassy to permit me to stay for four months extra in Nigeria on an humanitarian ground so as to complete a training I have embarked upon long time ago. I plan to let the embassy know that I have applied for a PhD program at the University of Toronto and my commencement of this program is based on my successfully conclusion of the Nigerian program. I think if the embassy verify with my training institution in Nigeria and the University of Toronto. They may be able to help. Thank you. Does any body have another idea?.
