Hi Guru,

Can anyone confirm that we need to show that DOB certificate at landing port.
I don't have one and let me know the options available other than getting a DOB certificate.

Hello there,

Can a dependent land first? I couldnot find the information in the CIC site.

Thanks.

Dear all,

Hi to all,
I have a question... already tried to find an answer !
The forms B4/B4A for goods accompanying and following.
We are a family of 4. All landing together.
Do we need to fill it for each family member separately ?
Or 1 will suffice ?
Same question for the declaration form before landing (in plane).

Any help would be helpful, specially those who have landed with families.

Regards,
doc2015

One b4/b4a form for entire family is fine. It should be from the principal applicant.

Not needed.

Hello friends -

Can anyone please help me on how to fill B4/B4A forms and excel sheets. I have read a lot on these in the forum but still not sure what exactly should be updated. Anyone who already landed or preparing to land soon, please share the formats and samples to make my job easier. I am not sure what should be declared in those forms and sheets.

Please PM me so that i can share my email ID :(

Thanks for the help in advance.

If zsrana is a settler, the converter is not subject to tax on arrival. Also, you do realize that when you are traveling from one destination in returning to Canada - you are allowed to bring items tax free up to a certain amount when you are absence for more than 48 hours.

You should check and read the relevant website carefully (before you post your comment)

Dear steaky,
My apologies.

Dear zsrana,
Forget the word "tax" from my post above. Still not worth the effort or expenses to carry a TV. It's still a personal choice.

Dear steaky,
Only for the sake of reference and positive discussion, i would like to add:
1. I do my research.
2. CBSA memorandum D2-2-1 (Settlers effects - Tariff Item No. 9807.00.00)
Page 4.
2. UAE = 220V (one cannot use the converter in UAE) (so item is unused)

"Owned, used and possessed" that's the legal wording of CBSA.

Anyway, i didn't mean to hurt anyone's feeling, nor the intent to misguide.

Regards,
doc2015

You need to compete 1 form for "goods accompanying", and 1 for "goods to follow", if applicable.

Keep it simple :). If you are bringing expensive jewellery, you should photograph it and include a valuation, or invoices.

Here's an example:

Hi,
I landed in September in Vancouver and was wondering if there is away to track the PR card status. I can see that m CIC profile is updated with my landing date. Will the PR card status show there? If not, is there anywhere where i can track this?

Thank you

you can't track it really,

the below link gives an indication of when your card should arrive, if that timeframe is exceeded (currently at 41 days) - you should then call CIC and enquire about the delay.

*Theoretically*, one can use Ecas.

In practice/real life, Ecas is a notoriously wonky system, and rarely updates in a timely fashion. I.e.: it's about as useful as a chocolate teapot.

hello lammawitch! Thank u for ur help. Can i also ask, i saw ur goods to follow list from the link u sent me. How about the form personal effects ? Correct me if im wrong, the form personal effect should be filled out and then the table where the goods accompanying should be listed should be filled out and if the boxes are not enough then i should print a to be continued page containing a table for the goods accompanying list and staple it with the form.? And the one you sent from ur link will be the format for the goods to follow list... Still confused on the b4 form .. Thank u very much for the help.
