Dear Friends,
My flight date is 15th of October.

I have a stay in Istanbol.

Pls. help me how can I take funds.

Thanks

- cash*
- securities in bearer form (for example, stocks, bonds, debentures, treasury bills), or
bankers’ drafts, cheques, travellers’ cheques or money orders.

- a bank statement (& proof that the funds are immediately accessible, by bank card, for example).

* if you carry more than 10k CDN in cash (in whatever currency), you must declare it. Even if the CBSA officer forgets to ask about funds. You will not be penalized for this, UNLESS you don't record it on entry & it comes to light later.

After the stamping of my immigrant visa , I have made international travel and now my passport has more visas than what it carried during the application/ immigrant visa stamping and also an additional work visa.

Is it required to declare the additional travel or visas to CIC before arrival (first landing).

Senior members - please help.

Also any other tips before landing will also.

Thanking in anticipation...

Hi all,
I have just returned back from a very successful and pleasing landing trip in Vancouver. I managed to open a bank account and issue a SIN. I have not applied for Medical Services Plan in British Columbia because the job market did not seem very appealing there and i wasn't sure if i will be living in Vancouver or not.

However, last night i received a missed call from Canada Revenue Services asking me to call them back. They made a reference to a certain correspondence they have sent me but i have not received it.

Any idea what this call is about? Of course i will call them back because i have nothing to hide but just wanted to be more prepared by checking if any of you have gone through a similar case.

Thank you,
Mohamed

You can land first in any province you want, except Quebec, unless you have applied through the Quebec immigration program. Anyway, Ottawa and Toronto are both in the province of Ontario.
Getting the PR card could take 6-8 weeks.
You can travel to USA, but you need to apply for temporary travel documents to re-enter Canada, if you are travelling before you get your PR card.
You can land in Canada from anywhere you want. No restrictions there.

Thank you once again.

Honestly, I've heard it can be a pain to apply for the temporary travel documents. I'd suggest you finish with the US visit before you land (since you have a valid US visa anyway), or else do it after you get your PR card.

You can travel outside Canada, and return via the U.S. Land border without a PR card/PRTD.

I second sujan197's advice otherwise.

Me too thinking of that. If there is no problem to land in Canada as first entry then I will go to USA and from there will land to Canada.
Rahul, is there any link that give information on landing process that gives clear information on we can land in any province eventhough mention in our PR document except Quebec?
I just want to confirm so that I can land in Toronto (not in Ottawa).
Thank you
