Sure thanks for the suggestion...do you know any lawyer who can help me with these doubts?
you are on david cohen platform so it will be ok if you use him.
i will still advice to play it safe and see if you can land with your son.
then when you land, you can start divorce proceedings if you wish (though its not up to forumites to advice you about divorce)

Thank you Rahul for your advise.

Do I still need consent from my spouse for my son if I land before our separation and before my spouse enters canada?

You will need the consent form only if you have separated before you land. Download and go through form IMM5604E - Declaration from Non-accompanying parent/ guardian for minors immigrating to Canada.

Hi Forum Members,
Have a query regarding Child care benefits. My daughter is 2 year old and will be travelling along with me.

Will I be eligible for both Canada child tax benefit and universal child care benefit or only one of them..

Thanks in advance.

She will be eligible but you have to apply for the two benefit and stay more than 3 months inside Canada.

I'm a little confused.

Our PNP PR Application was being processed by CPC - Sydney. Now PPR is asking us to send the Passport to CPC - Ottawa for Visa Stamping. Is this the regular process or are there any issues?

Thanks in advance.

Hello Everybody,

I have a question regarding landing during the last week of the year (winter holidays). I guess one should be able to do landing on any of the 365 days of the year. Please correct me if that isn't true.

Regards

Yes, you can land 365 days. Some government offices (Service Canada for SIN, healthcare offices) & banks may be closed extra days, but it's not a problem.

Here is information from RBC about opening a bank account (even from overseas). Other banks have similar procedures. Look them up.

"To show at airport": bring COPR, Passport, proof of funds, list of goods accompanying/goods to follow.

Hello Guys,
I have received my visa, I am a principal applicant. My wife is 8 months pregnant and we informed visa office, visa office advised us to update information when the baby is born. Our visa is going to expire on March 2016.

My questions are follows;

When we will add our baby's name, do we all need to do medical again? Or, only baby needs to do medical?

When we add our baby's name, how long will it take to reissue the new visa (approximately)?

Many thanks.

If I were you, I would go to Canada before my baby is born, to give birth in Canada, get your wife and your residence card (because your baby will be canadian born) and then if you want come back to your country and return later to Canada.

Your due date is very close to your visa expiration date and I dont know if they would give you an extension to land, if not, you will only have like two months to make all papers after you baby is born. First of all is the well being of your child but I know many women of my country that go to US to have their babies and then return, at least you will be legal residence and have access to health care.

Best of wishes
