Hi there .

Not trying to be rude. Just I am amazed by people who wants to stay along with certain Community . I am sure you might have your reasons but if you want to live with Pakistani community then you should live in pakistan . As I said you might have your comfort zones but a piece of advise is that the more you restrict yourself to a limited connections and unwilling to embrace the power of diversity , which Canada excels at . it would be diffcult to break through in the job market .

Well you might not even need a job and might have millions tucked away and open your own stuff . anyway to anwer your question schools, grocery et.c are spread all around missisauga, you wont have a problem . Lot of people stay closer to Square One as its got a good transit connect to Toronto.

Good Luck

U made a point!

Re: Experience with Landing with a B4 or a goods to follow?

FYI, landed yesterday. Everything went fine. Didn't have the lists. They said to bring it the next time when I enter Canada once we were ready to move.

Go to the nearest welcome center near your home, they will help update your resume for Canadian market and also guide you on how to apply for jobs. These services are totally free.

For a list of centers in Ontario (go to the one closest to you) : http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/newcomers/map/ontario-list.asp

Hi All,
Need your suggestion regarding below:
I landed in first week of June and gave my friend's address to immigration officer for PR card purpose. Almost 3 weeks back I checked for the PR card processing time and it showed me 21 day (Currently 28 Days) so I called my friend to check if he had received my card but the answer was NO. Then I logged in on CIC website and I was shocked to see my old Dubai address there which means that the immigration officer did not update it. Anyhow I changed it with the help of online tool and it got the message after completing the message that I will be updated in 2 days in case of PR delivery or in 15 days in normal circumstances. Now its more than 20 days but its still showing the old Dubai address. Please suggest me what should be my next step??

Thanks..

HAI FRIENDS, as from the informations from the forum members I think it is better to be in Alberta than in Toronto .But the place where I have to land is Toronto as per the visa . Is it advisable to change the place the same day after landing in Toronto to alberta.?OR do we have to continue there for some time?Kindly reply.Thankyou.Jossy

Hi Kunal,

Congratulations on completing the landing formalities!

Could you please elaborate about the concerns that I had mentioned in my earlier post - did the officer ask you to stay until your PR card arrived? will it be required for you to apply a temporary RV after you return to your country, after this short stay in Canada (since I don't know whether you would be able to stay in Canada until you could receive your PR card).

Any other information that you would like to share?

thanks!

That is not a restriction. Just land anywhere, the immigration officer will fix it on the spot.
