I don't have a rock solid answer to your query, brother. As I understand they do not accept Indian Bank statements. However, there are many variants to the said question going around here.

If it was me, I would avoid a b/statement and carry the funds in Cash, TC &/or Draft.

we are landing on 7 april 2010
I have question on proof of funds
if i carry bank statement from indian bank dated 5 april 2010 of indian rupee equivalent to required 17000 CAD will it work while landing ???
We can transfer the money online as we need and we do not need to carry cash or check, etc
Will we be allowed entry in canada with bank statement and no cash/ check with us ????
What should we answer at the border when they ask how much money r guys taking with u ????
should we say 17000 as we r gonna transfer it online ???

We have family in canada and we r going to stay and they r going to take care of all expenses.
please help if anyone has any idea
thanks

Hi, Taking a demand draft to a bank in Canada will be better for you than taking a bank statement.

You have to keep few canadian dollars in small denomination to get trolley in side the baggage clearing area. Each trolly need to insert CAD 2 coins in the slot -( you can get the coins changed from the nearest exchange counter in baggage area )- How much coins need depend on the number of trolleys required.

You are very helpful to us Qorax. May God bless you abundantly.

Happy Easter!

Dear Bhavesh & Farima,

For admission to Canadian Schools we need to provide the school authorities our kid/s 'immunization record'. There's a simple format provided by CHC for this purpose. Usually, it comes with the Pps+Visa+CPR+Instructions packet.

But sometimes it doesn't... then u need to obtain the same from someone [who had got that from CHC]. CHC-London sends it to everyone, however they forgot to put it inside my package. Thus, I obtained it [via email] from a very nice member on this forum [God Bless them], retyped it on a 'card paper', got it filed-up from our 'pediatrician' & took it along. It worked fine for my kids admission in Toronto.

Just relax, u'll get it from your CHC when u get the visa/s. If u don't, send me your email ID [thru PM] & I'll email it to u.

All the best !

Hi Qorax,Bhavesh & Farima

About 'immunization record', whenever we go for any vaccination in a hospital, generally doctor fills the chart provided at the time of birth of the kid on which all vaccinations are mentioned as per there timelines. I have that record with me..

Qorax, incase this record willl not work, please send me one copy of the card you have at sanju1676@rediffmail.com.

Regards,
Sanjay
