Thanks for your kind information and useful link. Do you have any idea of time it takes to get travel document and the validity period of the document after I would get that in hand.

There are two ways to solving your problem

1) If your wife is in Canada, she can use courier e.g. UPS to send your card to you.

2) Apply for a travel document. (Travel Document takes like a week to get and it is valid for 30days
after you get it

Stay Bless

I landed at Toronto with my wife a couple of months ago. Due to my job responsibility I am now staying outside Canada.

I have landing number but I did not get my PR card by that time. I am planing to move Canada sometimes next year.
My wife is pregnant right now and going to give birth in short. Its not possible to move her for some complexity.

Please suggest What I need to do now:

1. To which office I need to inform.
2. I asked my previous visa office, but they did not reply.

If you have any specific direction guideline (link), please assist me.

May Allah provide you right reward.

what happened to your PR card? When you landed you did give a mailing address to the immigration officer right? If yes - so definitely
the cards were mailed there....did you give them the address of a friend?

Yes! You are right. I provided my friend's address. Its about more than 3 months my friend did not get the PR card. They got SIN card but the not PR card.

why don't you call them to enquire...maybe they just want new photo's & they would mail them once received...my suggestion is just - that it might be easier to get your pr cards than to apply for a travel document

:) Boss, Right now I am not in Canada. So its not that easy. Regarding new photo, they might inquire if they need. Even I cannot check the status online. I dont know why.

i know you are not in canada...i meant you call them from abroad...somewhere in this forum - some guys mentioned an international number where they managed to reach CIC from UK and middle east...a normal "international" number. I'll search the forum and will forward it if i find the thread.

I found the discussion thread & copied the mentioned number below:

http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/worriedpr-card-not-yet-receive-t155883.0.html;msg2410199#msg2410199

To contact CIC from outside Canada can try the same process.
It's as below...

1. Dial 1-613-944-4000
2. It' will say something about foreign Trade. Wait for the message to complete
3. Then it'll will give you the menu options
4. Press "2" for "Immigration or Citizenship or obtaining visas to Canada"
5. Then it' will redirect the call to Immigration department
6. A music will be played until someone picks up your call

I guess you can now enquire and find out what happened to your card....let us know how it went. I assume they will also verify your identity when you call them...so better to have your passport (visa) and COPR handy with you when you call.

There is a lot of lag in receiving PR cards during summer months when a lot landings are happening. A friend of mine, who landed 2 months ago, was told to wait 90+ days for his PR card. So if it is not a photo issue as mentioned by other members in this forum, your PR card may still be in process. What address and contact number did you give for the PR card delivery (as they would have contacted you if there was a photo issue)?

Had question regarding proof of funds :

Is statement of an American Bank (Bank of America) is acceptable to be shown in proof of funds?

Eg: Can the proof of funds be shown as some amount in Bank and the remaining on form of Travel Card?

American bank is fine, I had British bank statements but the officer did not check them anyway, he just believed what I said

Thanks for the confirmation Ketevan,

One more question. In this forum I read in one post that there is a SIN application kiosk on airport itself where we can apply the SIN number. Also some other post said that its not there.

Can anyone pls confirm if SIN kiosk is available at Toronto airport.

Some of those who landed recently informed that it has been introduced a few months ago and its available during "Canadian business hours" - so if your flight will arrive during normal weekdays - and during the business hours - you might want to ask the immigration officer who will do your landing formalities - about that SIN "kiosk", if it exists they will surely direct you to it.
