No ma'am.
U just carry it's copy (stamped one) and he should be having the original, while waiting outside the a/port for receiving u. That is if he hasn't posted it back to u already, in which case u carry the same.

Qorax

I've asked my husband to mail a copy of B4 but he said the immigration officer didnt get his b4 form, not even asked or stamped it. maybe i should prepaRE MINE? What if the officer will ask me?

Hi Qorax...
We have to board a flight from INDIA>Montreal>TORONTO..

So our first landing desti. in Canada would be Montreal. we have to complete our formalities in Montreal and then board our flight to Toronto...

What should be the minimum time difference b/w two flights .... ?The one we have been looking for is 2.5hrs. difference. Would it be sufficient?

thanks

Hi Qorax

If I dont carry enough funds during landing what will happen. If I carry 5000 Dollars, instead of 13000 Dollars on Landing in canada. What would be the consequences. Please guide me. I am very much thankful to you

Dearest QORAX
Dearest LEON

Hope you have a great weekend

My spouse and I intend to land first while. After two months, we want either my sister-in-law or mother-in-law to come with our children
Do you think the Visa Officer will grant visitor visa to either of them considering the fact that we are just two months old in Canada?

Thanks a million

1. Visit visa is granted on the applicant's (ur SIL's/MIL's) own merit.
2. Being a new immigrant u might not be eligible to sponsor them.

Hi,

Technically if u don't have the GTF list pre-stamped (while on first entey) u do not get the duties waiver. However, u may play the ignorance card and try now with a fresh B4 under the "returning residents' clause"... It'd then depend on the whims of the BSO@the POE to let u or otherwise -- we have noticed some got thru though earlier.

All the best.

Qorax

If you get insurance in your home country before you go to Canada and tell them the purpose, that is to cover you for 3 months after your move, you can also ask them about the details of claiming from the insurance should you need to. I am sure that if you seek medical help and have bills to pay, you could mail them to the insurance company and they could refund you into your account.

URGENT

Dear all,
Till yesterday I was really happy because the last week we received the e-mail with Passport Request from VO. And as required, immediately we sent by courier (UPS) our passports and the draft of payment of the Right of Permanent Residence Fee.

But today I had a very stressfully day:
Unfortunately we were told today by the UPS that our package was not delivered to the VO. The courier has written as a reason that “Consignee Will Not Accept Delivery of a Package During a Certain Time Period”.

I would like to know if any problem has occurred or this was just a misunderstanding of the courier because VO office was closed today (21 May) for the Victoria Day.

I am thinking to write an urgent e-mail to the VO.
What do you think?
Any idea please…

Thank you Qorax,
I hope so!
You are always ready to answer to our enquiries and always you give us hope and useful information, you are great friend. Thanks again!

Another problem :'(
I found another mistake: As I mentioned before I received the e-mail with the passport request last week. Today I noticed that the Application number in the subject line of the e-mail wasn't my Application Number.

Do you think that this is a copy/paste mistake of the officer OR in this phase of our process we are assigned a new file number?
I am sure that the e-mail is definitely for me, because the date of medicals mentioned in it is the same with mine.

"....We expect to receive the required documents within 30 days from the date of this e-mail. On receipt of the passports and correct RPRF, visas will be issued for entry to Canada before: 2x/3/2013...."

Any similar experience to share?
