Are the Visa officers available for Landing procedures 7 days a week or just weekdays? I tried to find a schedule but couldn't find one.

If you are looking only in Mississauga, you can try near square one mall. Rent will be higher but the commute will be easy. Also, a lot of apartments are there, so it will be easier to find a short-term rental.
You can also look near the Meadowvale blvd area.

I am just curious if it is possible to open a bank account in Alberta with only CoPR and passport since PR card takes a while to arrive? Any bank recommendations?

I will be doing a soft landing (2 weeks) and come back.
Will be providing my friend’s address for PR delivery.
1) Do I have to be physically present to receive PR card?
1q) If yes, shall I declare to the IO that I’m planning to stay only for two weeks to fulfill the landing formality. Will it be an issue?

1. You don't have to be. You can have your friend send it to you but this is not without risks so many advise against it.

2. I don't think it should be mentioned. Some may not process your PR until you are ready to land for real as I have read here elsewhere. Soft landing isn't really in the IO's vocabulary.

Our final destination is Edmonton and we are travelling with infants ,we have a 25 hr flight so we decided to take a break at toronto and travel to edmonton next day as our babies will take rest .
My question will it create problem again as we have to go thru security again will the officer question or just want to avoid all kinds of hassles

No issues. Your port of entry is Toronto where you go through immigration. When you travel the next day to Edmonton, you don’t go through immigration just security check to board your flight. No hassles.
