Thanks Man
Hi, see above.Hi,
We are a family of three (me, wife and son), I am planning to land in Toronto first and get the accommodation sorted out before moving my family. Need help in understanding below:
> Can I land in toronto and stay for 20-25 days and post finalising rented accommodation and other important work like SIN application etc. come back to my home country and take my family along?? If you are the principal applicant, yes you can land first and then bring your family later before their visas expire
> The issue is that i will not have my PR card in 20-25 days time period, so can i move out of canada without PR card and get my family? You will have to arrange for someone to get your PR card to you so you can return with
Pls help.
Thanks.
Sorry for the late response. Settling in is crazy so hardly get time to come on here.Hi. Can you please tell me if immigration officer asked for the POF prior to landing? If they did, did u carry cash or any other means.
You have automated kiosk and separate line for PR/Canadian passport holders.Hi, I completed my landing through land last year and got my PR card. Now I am arriving at Toronto through flight. Would anyone know what kind of questions I may be asked by officer? Since I am already PR, would it just be a brief check before I am let go? In US, I have seen fast track self check out kiosks for citizens and gc holders. Is there anything similar here or should I go through one single line for all? I couldn't find the arrival process for citizens and probably holders. Please advise. Thanks
You should spend 2 years total in a 5 years periodhi! i have a question..im planning to land then stay in canada till i get my pr card then fly back to my country once i get my card..how many months should i come back to canada? or is it till my pr card expires?
No screening may be done this time. No fast / self check kiosks in Pearson airport. These days the wait period is higher at immigration at Pearson airport. Guess so many people are traveling.Hi, I completed my landing through land last year and got my PR card. Now I am arriving at Toronto through flight. Around the same time. It could be longer if there is any issue with the PR application , like photo not matching specification. I personally had that experience with one of my friend.I have another question, does anybody know how long after landing you get your PR card? the website says the processing time for first PR cards is about 60 days. Is that generally how long it takes? or do people usually get it earlier?
Thanks,
