Hi All,
just sharing my landing experience today...
drove my car with Illinois registration through Windsor Tunnel. There were hardly any questions and everything got over within 20 minutes. They asked me for explanation as to why I did not want to import my car today and they were convinced by the answer that I had not yet made up my mind to import it or dispose it in the US. I also told him that I would be heading back to US within a couple of hours and there were no issues with that.
They were very pleased to see the well-organised Goods to Follow list with photographs of jewellery.
On return, US customs did not ask any questions. Just looked at our passports and matched pictures to faces and let us go. He made a note of I94 numbers in his system.
