anyone can help me, my wife land first to calgary AB and we are a new immigrant, she is my principal sponsor and she also bring other documents like proof oF fund (POF) im a dependent, my question is does the immigration officer ask me to show a proof of fund? what i can do if immigration officer will ask me to show a proof of fund, can my wife send me through mail the scan copy of proof of fund???

Dependants are not required to show POF seperately, since your wife have alreay shown POF, it will not be asked from you.

GTF = Goods to Follow (The goods you have either couriered or you/your partner will be getting later to Canada

I was fortunate to get a good job just after landing (within 72 Hours).

Hi,

Yes you can apply for health card immediately after landing, however, you need address proof for the same.

Health insurance will only start from the 3rd month after landing if you are planning to live in Ontario.

wats ur NOC ????
Did any body(relative or friend) helped u in getting a gud job ?????
where r u residing nw ?????

or any special input on njob searching 'll be greatly welcomed .. m planning to land in mid august

You need to carry
one address proof: bank statement/Canadian driving license/ home agreement (which proves that you are staying in Ontario)
Photo ID: Passport
Proof of ur immigration status: Landing document

I applied for health card one month after landing as I had no address proof. You can apply for the card within 3 months of landing, but it will only cover you once you complete 3 months in Ontario after landing.

I am in Mississauga. Finding a job is a difficult and a hard task. I don't have friends / relatives here.

Best way is to come with a positive frame of mind and should be open to take any job. And you should not be reluctant to ask anyone for a favor. In my case, I was crossing an office and went inside to ask if they have any job, and I was hired within 48 hours after landing. Its not very much related to my field but it's a lot better than the survival job.

Do ur best, god will do the rest.
