Landing experience particularly regarding proof of funds

we are 4 members in family got vise we have to show around 21000 canadian dollars that is around 9 lakhs. i have 5 lakhs liquid cash in bank and 3 lakhs in P.F and 1.2 lakh in National saving certificate which cannot be immediatly converted into liquid cash so what should i do while landing.

You have to en cash those all to make 9 lacs. Because you can not show this NSC or PF you need to convert all to CAD and carry with you in different formats like Cash, Draft, TC etc...

the funds are required in order for you to survive at least 6 Months, so you must get as much as possible available at the time of landing, don't bring cash too risky, traveller cheques are very good option and must of them are insured in case of lost or theft.

21,000 CAD sounds much money, but once you are here, then you realize how easy and fast this money go if you don't get Job fast.

1. Take a Loan from the PF [max possible].
2. Liquidate the NSC at its present NAV [u'll lose its projected value, but u've no options].
3. Sell-off mobile & fixed assets [gold, car, property etc].
4. Garner as much funds possible from friends/relatives/banks/pledges.
5. Do not miss the boat !
