Hello !
Just wanted to share my landing experience. Most threads regarding landing experience are for folks crossing the borders via road.
I flew to Vancouver from Asia on 26th June and landed at 6:45 pm on a Sunday evening.
The immigration officer was really friendly and asked me basic questions about why I am here? I stated the purpose of my visit as "landing as a permanent resident".
i was then guided to the immigration office which is to the left of the initial immigration check.
At the counter , there were only 2 people ahead of me in the line so it wasn't too long a wait.
Documents requested
1. Passport
2. CoPR
I had to then state an address and a phone number on their copy of the CoPR. I provided a local address where they will mail the PR card to.
That's it. The officer then gave me a few welcome documents , signed my CoPR [ which is a really important document to retain ] and that's it.
I wasn't asked for any additional documents even though i was carrying POFs and list of goods forms. The landing experience was very pleasant and the officers were very friendly.
Hope this helps.
