Hello everybody...

I reached Canada yesterday..
Landing experience was very exciting.officers were helpful and they asked only my residence address in canada.
In plane I got a custom form in which I declared money which I was carrying with myself.
after landing I went in immigration section and officer asked to show my landing paper and thats it.
and Gave some booklets abt new immigrants.

thanks to every body who shared their views and gave moral support in waiting period which was very painful.
I will also pray to others who are in still waiting period that they get their visa soon.

Thanks Jashan for posting your experience. Could you please elaborate on the POF? Did you carry all of it as cash?
 
Dear Jashan,

Thanks for spending some time to write your experiences. I also would like to know more about the means in which you provided Proof of Funds. any Bank statements/ Securities/ Stock certificates etc along with cash?

Congrats. What was the proof of funds you had. Was it cash or bank account and which bank account.

I did not take my cell number yet as soon as I get it ,I call you guys.I was little bit nervous when I entered In Delhi Airport
My flight was Lufthansa but plane was opreted by air india and I could not understand this diffrence so i gone on Lufthansa's counter,they checked my bags which were overweight and they asked to wait for some time and when i again reached on counter ,officer checked my ticket and sent me on air india's counter.
Air india 's staff did not check that my bags are overweighted and sent me to immigration section and after that no problem came in my way.
When we neared to Totonto ,In flight we recieved custom forms to fill ,in which they asked to declared money if above then 10000$ which we were carrying .and i was carring more than 10000$ so i ticked it Yes.
and in Immigration Section ,officer asked to show my landing paers and asked residence address in canada and asked how much money dyou have carrying and in which form.
i said in Cash form but they did not ask to show that money.

so experience waswonderful.

I was carrying 15000$. because I have Job letter so I do not Have to do that but I officer asked me that how much money I have but they did not asked to show that.

I am staying with My cousins so I have no Idea abt Accomdation Cost.
but I heard that you can take basement on rent by 500-600$ per month.
