I was too, but my husband verified our data usage with Shaw and we reduced our total GB to save $25/month.Aquib said:I have taken telus 500GB for 30$ a month connection,
Hope it will be enough, been told that if you watch 3 hours daily prog on Netflix (on HD TV) it will consume 8GB-10GB So that will be approx 250 GB and remaining 250 GB should be fine with my all other stuff.
Lets see after first month, I really surprise that's you just doing fine with 30GB even after watching movie, VOIP calls and some downloading .
Are you downloading or streaming the Nexflix? We never use it - hubby feels it's a rip off. (We watch a lot of TV shows directly from the internet and sites like Discovery.ca.) Also, Shaw gave us cable TV free for three months then only $10 for permanent because they seriously, seriously screwed us over when disconnecting our upstairs neighbor's cable - they disconnnected ours instead TWICE............ Grrrr! We got HD channels too.
So now we pay $15 less per month and get cable & internet.......... We got super lucky.
Shaw will claim they are faster than Telus. Considering the price difference, there may be some truth to that argument.
