I found that www.comwave.net offer good deal.
If you have smart phone and free min then they got offer of $ 30 for whole year to call 250 min every month for 12 month and above 250 min call rates are 1.9c to india .

Even better if you call there contact centre they will give you monthly plan of 19.85 plux taxes comes 22.40$ approx. unlimited calls to 60 country including india Uk US and whole canada .

I feel this one is good plan if you got Unlimited call time sim like chatter , wind of mobilecity etc .
Just get local free only plan and use comwave plan to call anywhere free.

Also one which I using is
https://www.relianceglobalcall.com/unlimited-isd-calling-cards.aspx
14.99 for 2100 min call to India and 25 other country

Alternatively you can use pidipompi.com.It will cost you just 9.99$ per month for unlimited calls to India.

Any one of you or your relatives from Pakistan passed medicals despite having Hepatitis C?? Is the history of Hep c is something i should be worried about?

Hep C is a chronic and occasionally uncurable condition. Has the person with Hep C undergone any treatment and still have the disease? It could be considered a burden to the health care system, depending on the progession of the disease. Basically, around 20% of Hep C cases are incurable and generally the person suffering from Hep C will become medically disabled and require extensive treatment for the last few years of their life.

If this person hasn't undergone treatment for Hep C, I would strongly point this out to the doctor examining me as 80% of cases are treatable. (I'd also recommend getting it treated ASAP. The longer Hep C is in the body, the greater damage to the liver. The liver damage is usally what kills a Hep C sufferer.)

Excellent Post Aquib.....this would really help..i am planing to land some time in Nov end...

By the way I have downloaded dell voice on my iPhone and got one local Canadian Calgary number for free and when I am in WIFI or 3G I can make free call To any Canadian number.
No hidden charges nor I needed to give any payment info.
It's just free landline with unlimited outgoing and incoming calls when you got WIFI or 3G connection.

I've used Google's call a phone option with Gmail and called all over the USA and Canada for free. Only downside is you have to use a computer. (I have never checked to see if there is an App for smartphones.)

Yes, most of your appliances should work with converters. You can also get converters here.

When you're getting settled, you can also get fairly inexpensive appliances at WalMart or Superstore. (We paid $10 for our can opener and $20 for our coffeepot that XS Cargo.) Depending on the quality of the appliance and cost to ship it, that is something to consider. I brought almost no household goods with me from the USA because it cost more to ship them than to replace them when I got here. (Obviously if you have an expensive high end appliance, it would be better to bring it in most cases.)

Liquidation World (there are several in Calgary) is also getting a lot of good merchandise from Zeller's, which is closing down. Right now you can buy a brand new Bissell Vacuum cleaner for $40 with a pet hair adapter for the nozzle. LW is a neat place to shop as they will get discount items and sell them for half of what they retail for at other stores, like WalMart.

Hi ,
Firstly check your appliances, lot of them like printer , tv, laptop , mobile-phone , and small kitchen appl. Are slready dual voltage means they can work all over world without any problem ( input 100 ~240 Volts). Now all you need plug convertor for your Europe/UK/India pins to Canada pins. When you can get here for 2$ .
I bring 4 multi pin adopter and UK-UK 1 in 4 out. And 4 UK to Ca pin convertor so can use all my UK equipments without any problem here .

Dear Aquib

Can you please post the link for the $2 Converter..

Thanks..
