Firstly i would like to thank u all and wish u best of luck..i have landed woth my family on 31 Jan 2014 from kuwait through KLM transit in amesterdam and then to toronto pearson airport ,whilst we were at the airplane we asked to fill the customs declartion card in whish i put my friends adress as we didnt have an adress yet,on the card we should tick if we have more than 10 k in cash (thats what we understood)we didnt tick on that bcz we had less on cash and we had we had 24 k as a bank draft)that was wrong it turned out later the customs officer told us ill get to this point in a while. The landing officer took the landing papers and signed them and me and my husbend signed also and he gave us our copies and my children too of course they didnt take a picture for us cuz our landing papers included our photos and the officer said thats ok no need to retake pictures and he said pr cards will be sent to our adress after 6 weeks then we wend to canda service office at the airport and they created our sin numbers later in two weeks we resived tge sin cards by mail to my friends address tgen we we went to customs with our declartion cards and goods to follow list and here we faced a little obstacle bcz my pictures of goods to follow were not clear enough however the officer was very cooperative and then he asked us abt the cash my husbend told him that we have less than 10 k in cash and and a 24 k bank draft he told us that we should have ticked on that however he will give us the benifit of doubt as we didnt know that and he told us that its ok we will not be fined and we went out...
Next day we opened a bank account on RBC bank we didnt apply for a driving licence or child benfit since we intend to come back to diffrent province end of this year also we didnt apply for a health card.
Now i returned back to kuwait two days ago and i didnt wait for my pr cards to arrive as i didnt have time and i had to return back please advice will this be a problem? I asked my friend to send the xards via courier when he gets it...waitong for ur responces
