Hey everyone! I apologize as I've posted this on the US Outland Applications thread already but haven't really gotten too clear of an answer. Hopefully someone here can help me.
My husband is going to officially move and do the landing process in a few weeks. He has his accompanying goods form filled out and ready but we had a few questions.
1. He'll be arriving by plane and will have to fill out the customs declaration card that the flight attendants give you to hand to the border agent. Since he is going to now be a resident, would he check off the resident portion instead of the visitor portion? The visitor portion asks you how long your duration of stay in Canada will be, so he can't really answer that. But he's also not officially a resident yet. I know seems like a really silly question but I just want to clarify. I'm assuming he's to fill out the resident part??
2. Also, since he's bringing all his stuff - should we just indicate $0 as the amount he is declaring and just explain to the border agent that he has the accompanying goods form where he's declared all his belongings?
Thanks in advance!
