Husband got DM today. We wanna get everything going so that as soon as he gets the COPR he can pack up and go. So we wanna start working on the b4.

Questions on process though. All of his stuff isn't going to fit in his car, if his dad comes behind him with the rest will he get trouble crossing with all the belongings?

Also he's still paying off his car, is this gonna be a huge issue? I kinda got that impression..

ALSO anyone know the process or possibility for taking guns into the country? I know you can come to Canada as an American for like hunting trips and stuff, but like, as a resident. Do those have to go on goods to follow, then get the permits then bring them up?

Is there anything we need to be thinking of for now outside of the b4 forms?

Gonna bump one more time. We now know we have the import the car as he's landing, still confused on exactly how to do that but hey.. Paying it off and getting the title first. That's what we've figured out.

1. yes it's ok for his father to follow him with more stuff. just remember his father needs to be clear he is only visiting and helping his son move.
2. there won't be any issue with landing with a car you still owe money on. the issue will be importing the car. the car can not be imported without release or permission from his leinholder. they won't care at landing whether he owns his car or not. if he thinks he may pay off his car and import it at a later date, make sure it's on his b4 "goods to follow" form listed under conveyance. this will ensure no issues arise later on.
3.i have no ideas about guns. i'd suggest calling the border you plan to land in and get the right information.
4.all you need for landing is the copr, passport and b4 forms. nothing else is needed.
