I did my landing at a border. If you have a valid tourist visa, you can completely skip the rejection step as I did.

Flagpoling at US/Canada border is not a rejection on your passport but just an administrative refusal issued by US CBP that you voluntarily decided to not enter the US in effect a U-turn back to the Canadian border. Has no impact on future entries to the US which would still be subject to the usual assessment.

Did you cross over and stayed for a while, or came back right after? Thinking of going for a day or so with my wife since she has a US visa to avoid the "flagpole"
