I was just checking to see if anyone has recently activated their PR here?

I was told they didn't do immigration services here but last year I activated my second work permit successfully.

Just checking they do PR landings...?!

That thread (which I had already found) was from 2013 with the last entry from one year ago.

Was hoping for up to date information within the last few months

Another 30 seconds search reveals this:

http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/do-rb/offices-bureaux/401-eng.html

Does not look like they offer immigration..

Thanks.

I did manage to activate a work permit there so I think they do but don't want to advertise that fact as its a small border

I just wasn't sure if it was ok for PR landings but if they can access the info for a work permit, I'm sure they can do the same for a PR

I actually got this email response a few weeks ago:

"Please be advised that immigration services are now provided at all Canadian ports of entry. The CBSA is currently in the process of updating its Web site."

I was asking them about the list of offices providing immigration services (http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/do-rb/services/imm-eng.html) which used to show almost 60 offices but is now down to 16. Apparently this list doesn't mean anything anymore, I guess?

You can probably get it done there, but they probably won't be too happy about it. It is a very small crossing with minimal staff.

Ive since found out that some friends activated their PR last october and didnt have any issues so i think its fine. They are going to be more stressed at Peace Arch and Pacific Highway anyway

My wife landed there today. There was no problem. They knew exactly what do to. There were three others landing for permanent residence at the same time.

Wow, this is great news. I hadn't heard of anyone landing at Point Roberts recently and I live very, very close to that crossing. I was dreading to have to cross at the busy Peach Arch. I'll see how it goes next Friday.

Well, in terms of wait times, actually Point Roberts was much busier than expected. We arrived at 130pm Wednesday, and the wait was about 30 minutes at least. It was less busy on the Canadian side. If you want to do it quickly, I'd suggest arriving in Point Roberts early in the morning or late at night. Point Roberts always gets very busy in the summertime.

I landed at Boundary Bay last Saturday. I flagpolled into the US and return to the Canadian side to land. The flagpolling was okay. There were quite a few questions and they took my finger prints and photo, but their behaviour was friendly. It took less than 10 minutes to "land" on the Canadian side. Signed the CoPRs and done. The only thing is that I noticed my other photo (not the one on the CoPR) was also returned to me with my passports, so I am a bit nervous now, not knowing if this is the routine or if they returned it by mistake and will be asking for new photos to process the PR card.
