"Please be advised that immigration services are now provided at all Canadian ports of entry. The CBSA is currently in the process of updating its Web site."
I was asking them about the list of offices providing immigration services (http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/do-rb/services/imm-eng.html) which used to show almost 60 offices but is now down to 16. Apparently this list doesn't mean anything anymore, I guess?
My wife landed there today. There was no problem. They knew exactly what do to. There were three others landing for permanent residence at the same time.CanBC said:Ive since found out that some friends activated their PR last october and didnt have any issues so i think its fine. They are going to be more stressed at Peace Arch and Pacific Highway anyway
Well, in terms of wait times, actually Point Roberts was much busier than expected. We arrived at 130pm Wednesday, and the wait was about 30 minutes at least. It was less busy on the Canadian side. If you want to do it quickly, I'd suggest arriving in Point Roberts early in the morning or late at night. Point Roberts always gets very busy in the summertime.Decoy24601 said:Wow, this is great news. I hadn't heard of anyone landing at Point Roberts recently and I live very, very close to that crossing. I was dreading to have to cross at the busy Peach Arch. I'll see how it goes next Friday.
