Landing at Ottawa CIC office without Appointement

Hello Everone,

I am planing to land in one of CIC offices. So, I called to CIC and asked for an appointment at Ottawa or other near offices.
I was told by officer that you can land at Ottawa office without any appointment only on Tuesdays between 9-12 am.
I was really surprised to hear that.
Anybody has any opinion about That?

I'm in need to know that becuase I got a letter for my son and the appointment will be with the Ottawa office too but we do not know when.
