Hello all!
Excited to announce that I completed my landing at Calgary Airport on September 1!
Process was very smooth. We went through customs and then proceeded to the immigration office where a very friendly officer completed our paperwork and joked around with us a little. After 10-15 minutes there, we proceeded to the import area of customs where we submitted our goods to follow list. We had approximate values on all our items, but the officer there preferred a total value. Another 15 to 20 minutes there and he stamped our forms and provided us all the info on importing our vehicle and goods. Incredibly friendly and helpful.
We also managed to apply for SIN numbers for me and my children at the Canada Services Office on Friday. That process took about 1 hour. Easy process to complete. Just have all your docs with you just in case. They specifically asked for the foil visa in my passport that I used for landing.
I'm back in the US. The customs officer said I could cross the border with my vehicle using my COPR, since my PR card will still be in process. Final crossing will be sometime in the first week of October!!!!!
Can't Believe we made it!!!
