We should also include if anyone gets any information on ECAS, because I'm really curious if that's actually happening. I've heard some people get the status of their PR card posted online, and other people just have the card magically show up.

woah I remmber seeing it says 44 days last week!! That's good news that they change it to 42 o.o ~

I think at one stage during the year it was up around 70!

If you're a permanent resident you have no restrictions on where you live or where you work. Citizenship is calculated based on time spent physically present in Canada. Currently you need 4 years out of 6, and time spent before becoming a PR does not count. Justin Trudeau has pledged to change this to make it shorter, so keep an eye on the news.

But in short, where you live has no bearing on a Citizenship application as long as you live in Canada somewhere.

Absolutely. You have to show an intention to reside in the province that is nominating you. The best way to do that is to live and work there. If you intend to live in a different province, you should apply for nomination in that province to make it safer. I know that the SK program seems to be the easiest path at the moment though, but be careful of CIC finding out your intentions to move elsewhere.

This thread is meant for just for tracking how long people are waiting for their PR cards once they've landed.

Hi I got my PR 9 months ago under SASKATCHEWAN IMMIGRANT NOMINEE PROGRAM(SINP CATEGORY:STUDENT), but when I applied for SINP I signed on a document says I intend to live in SASKATCHEWAN (number of years were'nt mentioned) but when I re-entered CANADA to get my PR done, the officer at port says that you are supposed to stay in saskatchewan for 3 years bcus you are nominated by saskatchewan. I asked few lawyers but they are not even pretty sure. please help me I am working at minnimum wagehere in saskatchewan but I got a really nice job offer from BC. can I move out of the province?

Did your ECAS have a reference to your PR card on it? Would you possibly be able to log on and check, and let us know what it says (if anything)?

My ecas also showed "complete" with extra line regarding the landing process

Hmmm I hope their processing time on the website is correct
I already had my ticket booked to home country in Dec 15.. Worst case scenario, I just had to apply for travel docs when im over there >.<
