Folks,
I'm December 2013 applicant landed in canada (Toronto ) by flight from india on 2nd june 2015.
I had finally landed after resigning from my job and i hope my previous canadian experience would help me land a job now.
After landing in Toronto airport, I went to canada visitors queue as no PR card yet...then customs officer looked at my declaration card which i filed in flight and directed me to seperate counter for completing landing.
Here i showed the Copr and passport who completed my landing and gave me confirmation of landing. The officer looked rough initially but after he was done with my paper work he was very jovial asking whether i can get dual citizenship etc..btw..note: I had given my friends address for pr card though i am staying in hotel now.
Then on exit one more customs officer greeted us and gave book about canada...
After that i was directed to another place as i told them that i have goods to follow. At this counter i showed list of all things i am carrying (the list i prepared detailing whats in what suitcase and value) , officer told us that they do not care what we carry now as we are landing to settle. .all they care is the list of things that will follow and they also confirmed that there is no limit to bring as long as we delare it now. So we declared some rough value of jewells that we will bring later...also told officerthat the jewels are in locker and we dont have photos. ..we were told to make sure that we are not bringing new jewells...here they gave the receipt to bring product later with value we declared .
Then we went to collect our baggage. ..
Process was quick and simple...no hassles ....now job hunt will continue
