Landed to canada with cargiver work permit?

hello all
When someone come to canada with cargiver work visa, Is the employer has to shows up at airport or is employer has to sing anything at airport??
If anybody knows what is happening when cargiver come to canada what should she/he has to do and who has to see in first place and what's she/he has to do next?

You shouldn't have to sign anything right at the airport upon your arrival to Canada. Your work contract should be already signed before you come as it is used to apply for your visa at the Canadian Embassy in your country. All your documents should be prepared as part of your visa application in your current country. The family should come pick you up at the airport. Once you arrive to Canada, a couple days later you should apply for a SIN # ( social insurance number), health insurance , these type things. I hope this answers your question.

yes everything is signed but If i arrive to canada and (my employer aren't in canada for few months, bussines trip ) can my friend or my relative which they are liveing in canada come and pick me up and live with them and get sin # and so on.... till my empolyer return ??

You must stay in employer's house as per the live-in caregiver program. I am not sure if you can stay elsewhere.

If you are referring to the Medical Services Plan (MSP, BC) then you would have to check with your employer if it is provided as a benefit or not.

If not, you can get information about applying (http://www.health.gov.bc.ca/msp/infoben/index.html).

So sorry about that. It's just that I am at a lost and health insurance was mentioned in your thread. I am new to the labor force of Canada and no one to help me so I rely on the forum. From what I have heard about other foreign workers landing in Canada, the officer calls the employer and ask if they are expecting anybody. If you are under the Live In Caregiver Program, you should live in the house of your employer. You can stay at another place though on your days off. I just don't know what happens if when you land and your employer is not around when the officer contacts them. I guess you should communicate with your employer and let them know when you are expected so they can even go to the airport to pick you up from the airport.

Yes as the person above mentions, if your employer is on holidays while you arrive to Canada, be sure you have the contact number to call them when you arrive in Canada. The immigration officer will likely telephone your Employer to verify your contract and check. Make sure you have a way to reach them when you get to Canada.

The employer usually witholds some amount from your paycheque which should include CPP.

And I don't have to do anything about it? Is it up to my employer to remit whatever amount he has witheld for the cpp and ei in my name and I don't have to apply or enrol in anything? Thanks so much again accreddy.
