"A lot of delays" = "it's Christmas and nobody is working".ChellyCat said:I landed October 5 and am in the same boat. I called the call centre and they said they are having a lot of delays right now and I should get it "by January 12." Quite a random date, but we'll see if they're correct.
Lol. You're probably right.Quink said:"A lot of delays" = "it's Christmas and nobody is working".
Yep when i landed it said 40. It's gone up to 87 since then. Must have broken the machine ha ha.PTJ said:As of January 7th Update it says: 87 days waiting period to have the PR Card
your landing has been processed, don't worry about that. anyone checks your status it'll show as PR. The card and the processing time for the card is completely separate to the landing process.KaydenB said:Landed on October 1, 2015.
No initial PR card received.
The CIC call centre indicated that they haven't started processing October landings yet, that I should check back in mid-February.
Meanwhile, the CIC website indicates a 90 days processing time (excluding mailing time, taking up to 6 weeks).
Hopefully, our landings and PR cards are next to be processed :-X

for me, since I'm visa exempt anyway, I've been able to fly in and out with just the copr as proof of my status but I can understand the frustration of anyone who would need to get a travel document when the cards should have been issued weeks ago. just hang on, this is the final hurdle in this whole thing and there's nothing to stress about at this stage.
