@ Omoelle, Shaddy & EMO,

It's nice to hear from you all. Things are getting better. We are happy at what God is doing in your lives and pray for more resounding testimonies for you and others in Jesus name. Trust we will hear from Right, MUFU, Awoderu and others very soon. It is well with you.

Thanks for ds and a thunderous Amen
We r good and doing gr8, pa right, Emo etc also. The time difference makes it tougher to keep up on thread couple with our works and family, also bare it in mind that depending on where u are its a minimum of abt 7hrs time difference i.e here in calgary we are 7 hrs behind naija in summer by fall it will be 8hrs. Which means when u are sleeping we are awake n at work so we are at opposite .

For all expecting updates keeping hope alive , for those landing PATIENCE is the name and order of the game.

Hello House,
Regards to you all.
I am one of your own waiting patiently for MR.
But as it is well advised by you predecessors that
we should plan early and far ahead, I wish to
hook up through this medium with any IT professional
in you landed naijas. I need some nice guidance in

-methodology of seeking jobs
-Best cities for IT guys.
-If there is need to register with an association before one can practice.
-The better or more available type of job (contracts or permanents).
And some other little details.

I will be very happy for any IT pro. in the house to come to my aid.

Thanks,

Dcrest

Nice having you again......Like Omoelle said in one of her post here.... its challenging to keep track of all that is going on in the forum... but the best way to get hold of me if need be is thru the PM.

The Lord is great and doing wonders still.......

Wish all the e-MR and PRV recipients the best and as they all embark on the final phase of the process. Please make plans to land as soon as u can.......

May the Lord watch over us all

Cheers

EMO,

Many thanks for stopping by. We do understand and will not hesitate to PM you if need be.

@ YemiOla...this 'landed' program is open to all 'landed/future landed' immigrants - where they share common experiences. For those of us still in the process of getting AVO update of MRs and PPRs, we always seek guidance from this space - helps our planning for landing and how to manage one's self after landing.

However, I want to suggest the most appropriate section for you (as a new joiner) to gain a lot will be this url link - http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/nigeria-applicant-please-let-us-network-t30420.22680.html
You will get trending information on key inquiries you will need clarification on.
I hope this helps.

All Seniors Landed,
How are you all doing?
Hope you are finding your steps in right directions?
May God Almighty direct your ways Amen.
Please continue to pray for us expectants.

Can someone please explain the requirements for the POF? I thought it was suppose to be $10,000 for principal applicant and $2,000 for each dependant? but the cic website is giving me something different. checkout the website below:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/funds.asp

The amount of money you need to support your family is set by the size of your family. We update these amounts every year.

Number of
Family Members Funds Required
(in Canadian dollars)
1 $11,115
2 $13,837
3 $17,011
4 $20,654
5 $23,425
6 $26,419
7 or more $29,414

Can someone please throw more light on this?

Hello Bukonla80

The first case applies to people under PNP particularly the Manitoba Nominee program while the other case applies to those under the federal skilled worker if I recall correctly.

Wait for others responses but if you are under PNP sponsorship then the 10,000 base and 2000 for each dependant holds.

Cheers

@Hakpoguma........Thanks for your response, but the link you recommended is filled up already and wont be ideal for learners like me.This is because the link has over 1500 pages already and it wont be easy having to start checking through all the pages which dated back to year 2009.

Furthermore, what i will like to know for now is how to 'START',WHAT and WHERE to go as regards the whole "LANDED" process because i just got to hear about the program not up to 2weeks back.

Thank you as i await your response shortly.

Regards to 'LANDED' Seniors in the house.

@Yemiola, i think you should start by diligently studying the CIC website (www.cic.gc.ca) ; then like Hakpoguma rightly said go ahead and ask specific questions on the link he referred, you 'll get helpful insights and answers.

All the best

Thanks for the response.

I will like to know where and what to do as regards application for the landed program.

Also,is the landed program the same as Skilled Worker program on the cic.gc.ca

Thanks to u all for always being ready to help.

Regards.

My dear you are missing it up, there is no program called landed program we just used it to refer to Nigeria applicants from all programs that have landed in Canada. It's a forum for people to swarthier experience as regards Canada so others can learn.
