My people, good day all,
Please a principal applicant that is travelling first while other family members join later, is suppossed to travel with the POF of his and that of the entire family.............................is this assertion correct?

Please I need your guidance.

thanks

It goes without saying since it is only one application, one family and one destiny! Ishould think that regardless of how many people are landing, the POF should be tendered if required at the Port of Entry. My Cent anyway, Landed Seniors will respond authoritatively.

Ma Tinu, how is it going? Hope you are settling down well. Regards to hubby and the kids.

s it necessary to carry the P.O.F. while 'Landing' ?
100%. A part of the 'Record of Landing' "Interview" is to ensure 'sustainability' in Canada by the applicant. The IO must ensure that you carry enough funds [based on LICO] which will help you settle easily, w/out any burden on Canadian Social Services. Remember, except for 'refugees' under the Refugees Protection Act, Canada doesn't offer financial assistance for any other categories of applicants.

Irrespective of the no. of family members performing the 1st landing, the entire POF [as per the chart above] must be shown to the IO at the POE. Subsequent 'landings' by the 'accompanying dependents' do not need to show the POF.

That means, whether the PA alone or one or more of his family members are 'landing' for the 1st time, the above funds are required. It's another matter whether the IO at the POE doesn't ask for it [very often that happens]. But, w/out the POF our entry can be 'Denied'.
This is an excerp From one of Qorax numerous post.
Happy landing ahead!!

It's so simple what we did was to type out all the immunization our kids took and have a doctor sign the paper and that was it no stress. Whether its enforced or not is another thing but we were asked at the point of registering them and we promptly handed it over. I advise you do it who knows they might ask!

Many thanks madam Tinuade,

Bank statement is Royal bank of Scotland in UK.
so are u advising to increase the cash.

Also, is there any stipulated amount required per person or couple. no one seems to mention or state the exact amount tthey took with dem for couples or family.

Pls can you all help out.

I see if its a UK bank they might just respect it but in most cases they don't even ask to see the fund anyways!! If you don't feel like carrying cash you might try travelers cheque or better still use your UK card for the two week period you would not be needing much cash since you plan to stay only for two weeks.

I can't readily confirm the link now but the exact POF is stated on their website I know it should be in the neighborhood of 14,000 USD, actual amount above the minimum required is a personal decision and you do not need it at least for now.

All the best
