You are expected to fill your siblings details in the Background/Declaration form i.e. form IMM 5406E for you and your spouse if applicable, in my own case I filled the form when applying for my Federal part and I also updated it for submission as requested when I went to collect my visa.

Cheers

Thanks 4glory, do you mean i have to fill and submit the form when i go for submission of my passport? I dint fill when i sent my application because i thought it was meant for married fellows. pls can you send me your phone number?

Brilliant question, though I think the age of the kids will matter, you may post the age range so further information can be provided.

So others will not assume I don't need the info ;D, I definitely do, as my research shows day care for my 2 year old daughter will be in the range of $900 or so monthly, advice and suggestions on how the landed seniors are managing will be helpful.

@ Maky, Flesh and blood has not revealed this to you. This is 'sine qua non' to many of us.

Landed Seniors,
Pls Do you hear anything about postponement of Visa issuance till 2013 due to "operational requirement"?
Forumist in the LVO has this to say: http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/no-visa-issuance-in-the-federal-skilled-worker-category-till-2013-t117577.15.html.

Has CIC issued any statement?
Can you share your opinions about the above. Is it for LVO alone or all Visa Offices?
If this is true , then it will be depressing!

@guvcod both of them are below two yrs

@Maky

As i state earlier, I am also doing some research on the matter, not landed yet and cant claim to have practical examples on what to do, however if it's about financials and schedule, then see this post below, I'm also hoping teh landed seniors will give more practical advice

Education

Daycare centers, schools, colleges, universities

1. Daycare centres
It is very easy to place a child of any age into a day care centre. Children starting from newborns to the age of 4-5 are accepted, afterwards school begins.
The cost is more or less the same in all of them, the maximum difference being $20. The monthly cost for a child up to the age of two is $840. For children of 2 to 5 years of age the monthly cost is $650. If a child misses several days or is sick and stays home, the money is not refunded.
There is an alternative — a private home day care. As a rule, there are less children and the cost is $200 less. To get information about home day care you should call Home Childcare Association, the number in Toronto is 416-694-0414.
From the age of 4-5 years school studies begin. Children attend kindergarten from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Kindergartens are free. For a monthly payment of $325 the child can stay till the evening.

@guvcode thanks for the post.@jodav abi oh

My dear you asked a valid question oh i remember i used to ask about child care from our landed seniors those days and got quite a lot of response from them. In addition to the post from Guvcode, one can also arrange with your spouse to take turns and loolk after the kids depending on the work schedules.

There are Naija families with one grandma or Aunty who also takes care of kids at reduced fee i remember when i was in the UK, we have one or two like that from the church who accepts to look after the kids at a reduced fee.
