Hi Rockey,

Currently I am in Kolkata. May be travelling in around November to Toronto.

I saw online, flights are from Delhi and Mumbai so I am planning to take any of this route. One of my friend told me that booking air ticket through Agents gives more discounts (they directly get it from Airlines), is it true? If you know some good agents, please let me know.. From Kolkata I don't find any difference from Agents rates.

Sanjay

Dear Sanju,
I tried to search all the websites like Yatra, makemytrip, travelocity, etc. and also directly into BA.com

I was actullay seeing 29K plus for few days then suddenly when I saw there is a slight increase happeneing so I booked with Yatra.com

I am not sure if agents can give better price!!

Thanks,
Nadeem

Hey Nadeem, I tried Cathay Pacific website many times and most of the time it give better price than agents.

Dear Sanju,
It depends!!
I had seen British airways.com at par with Yatra, makemytrip etc for some time, some time its 4K more than what these website were showing
when I booked, Yatra showed 30,460 where as BA.com was showing same sect as 34K+

I suggest when planning to buy first to a reseasch in all and then pick the best,

Thanks,
nad

hi rocky
i want to ask u few questions abt post landing.
first what would be the monthly expenditure for the family of three(couple & a kid of 5 years) in toranto?
second we have E71-nokia, an iphone, & nokia 6303. will these work in canada?
third can we manage without the car? i have heard maintenence & insurance is very costly there.
one more thing, if there is any uniform & school bags r there for kids? i mean to say should i carry some sort of white uniform shirts or socks or shoes etc.
next is can we bring some sort of spices & grocery or some ready to use packs with us?
thanks in advance
ramneek

I only know the answers to the last two questions:

any uniform & school bags r there for kids? Yes, if your kids are enrol in private schools. your kids wear casually in public schools.
next, you can bring spices & other food (no fresh meat and vegetables) with you

Hope this helps.

Hi All,

As I have already booked on British Airways!! here's few info on Bagguage

* Checked baggage:
2 bags at 23kg each (max. bag weight 23kg)
* Hand baggage:
1 piece of hand baggage (56cm x 45cm x 25cm/22in x 18in x 10in)
plus a briefcase, laptop or handbag (45cm x 36cm x 20cm/18in x 14in x 8in).

Also, if there is a need for more to take, then goto BA.com and add extra bagguage, make sure to spread that to all accompanyig passenger.

I mean if I am travelling with my wife and 2 kids, and if I need to add four more bags of 23 KGs
then I would add in each of our tickets, for every ticket +1 bag of 23kg will be INR2292 if purchased online (INR2865 in airport) so for four it becomes INR9168
Now if I try to add all four bags to only my ticket then INR18300 online (INR22875 in airport)

So I suggest only for INR2292 for each person travel we can add another bag

I hope this info helps!!

U r right. From India it is 2xChecked-in Baggages/pax. But, from ME, EU & US it's 1xBag only. We got just 1/each from Dubai vide BA.

Qorax
Ps.: There is no Kgs limit for Hand Baggage. Anything is Ok till u can carry it comfortably. We had stuffed ours up. Including the laptop/vanity bags for each one (including the Kid's).
