Hi all docs
I,v applied in 2008 and as my immigration process about to complete in one year,i,m going to take my MCCEE in near future. As we all know to get residency match in Canada is quite tough,we should be mentally prepared for it.Many Imgs there are doing odd jobs and taking their exams at the same time to give it a chance. We all are going there for better future for our family.Almost all professional people do odd jobs there and finally after taking required exams(if they r in regulated professions)join there professions.I think if we are having chance to go there, get urself prepared by taking MCCEE,then MCCQE after reaching there and try our luck. For more information about exams search RxPG forums.
Best of luck to all docs.

@ Tj2010.. i saw ur post somewhere and i have given you the low down the same way CUTEMEDO has done. I am a nigerian like you, but in the uk doing my MPH programme, and at the same time have written plab 1, preparing for plab 2. Canada is no go area as i said earlier on, but if you can wait for those years, then no probs. uk, australia, u.s.a are lil bit friendly to IMG.(International medical graduates). i have doctor friends in canada still waiting, their colleagues in u.s are on residency or finished. here in uk pass ur plab make money,as there is no training post for IMG'S in uk. unless u want to be a staff grade in NHS WHEN UR colleagues are specialising in one field or the other.then u can relocate if u want ,to other better places for residency as ur uk experience counts where ever you go. Ireland is also favourable cos i have colleagues there too, there u have to write TRAS EXAM. but all this should not stop u from getting ur PR. i would advice u to look for training in U.S.A, AUSTRALIA, IRELAND then if u still persist CANADA. if uk had training post people like me wont bother looking for canada PR. AND UK RULES KEEP CHANGING WITH REGARDS TO IMG AND OTHER MIGRANTS. The question now is why is this bloke telling me canada is no go area and he is processing PR? Every one with his or her own plan and strategy. my reason for PR processing is for my wife and kids. probably i might loose mine along the way becos i would be practicing else where, probably in the U.S.A. and they can always sponsor me later. ;D :P.

Some one advice me to continue with my application for PR that there is no job for doctors canada. I am about to send my full document to visa office. Should I go ahead or should I claim my money back.

I need some one to tell me the possibility of getting residency. How early can I get this and what time does it take. What else can a doctor do to survive. Please help with any help you can. I am really depressed by the new
